Advertising Policy

The Journal of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (JMID) is committed to maintaining editorial independence, scientific integrity, transparency, and public trust. The journal's editorial and publication decisions are based solely on the scientific quality, originality, relevance, ethical conduct, and significance of submitted research.

1. No Advertising

JMID currently does not accept or publish advertisements in its print or electronic editions, on its journal website, or in association with its published articles.

The journal does not accept commercial advertisements for pharmaceutical products, medical devices, diagnostic products, laboratory services, educational services, or other commercial products or services.

2. Editorial Independence

The absence of advertising is intended to protect the independence and integrity of the journal's editorial processes.

Editorial decisions, including decisions regarding peer review, acceptance, revision, rejection, publication, correction, or retraction, are made independently of commercial interests and are not influenced by advertising, sponsorship, or other financial considerations.

3. Commercial Influence

JMID does not permit commercial interests to influence:

  • the selection of manuscripts for peer review;

  • the selection or recommendations of peer reviewers;

  • editorial decisions;

  • the content or presentation of published articles; or

  • decisions concerning corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions.

Authors, editors, and reviewers are required to disclose relevant conflicts of interest in accordance with JMID's Conflict of Interest Policy.

4. Sponsorship and Financial Support

Any financial support received by authors for research must be disclosed in the manuscript in accordance with JMID's Funding and Conflict of Interest Policies.

Research funding or sponsorship does not confer any right to influence the editorial process or the publication decision.

JMID's editorial decisions remain independent of research funders, sponsors, institutions, and other external organizations.

5. Future Advertising

If JMID changes its policy in the future and permits advertising, any advertising arrangements will be subject to clear ethical and operational safeguards.

Advertising will be kept clearly separate from editorial content and will not be used to influence editorial decisions or the scientific content of the journal.

The acceptance or rejection of an advertisement will not affect the evaluation, acceptance, or publication of manuscripts.

6. Transparency

JMID will clearly communicate any future changes to its advertising policy on the journal website.

The journal remains committed to maintaining a publishing environment in which scientific content is evaluated independently and without inappropriate commercial influence.

7. Policy Review

This policy may be periodically reviewed to ensure that it remains consistent with recognized standards and best practices in scholarly publishing.

Any substantive changes to the policy will be communicated transparently through the JMID website.
